Boating

While in Montana, we went boating for a few hours.  The kids all thought it was wonderful.
I can't stand how cute this little person is.

I have to admit, seeing an American flag was fun.

As you can see from the pictures, Olivia had a blast.  I on the other hand, was trying to stave off a major panic attack.  I'm not a fan of water that you can't see the bottom of.  It's the whole scared of sturgeon thing.  Blame it on my brothers.  I was really surprised to see Olivia get in the water and not care.

I ended up in the water thanks to Jeff.  It was like having exposure therapy for me.  I was doing fine until Gio said he felt a fish and then my brain exploded.  It was all I could do, to remember to breathe.  I think the next time we go on a boat, I'll stay out of the water!
I really am so lucky to have such wonderful neighbors up here in Canada.

Whitefish Fair

I find it amazing how certain smells and places could make me so heartsick for my Mom.  While in Montana to go camping, we went to the fair in Whitefish. Just a small town fair.  Lots of livestock, produce and quilts.  Mom loved these kinds of places.  Of course her favorite were the horses.

Olivia was a riot.  Every time she would see an American flag, she would say something about her being American.  She was in her country.  It was a big deal to a little girl who was there with a bunch of Canadians.

I have to comment on this pic below.  I was shocked and mad at the irresponsible Mother who took her toddler on the ride.  He was so scared.  Plus the poor kid was smashed and in a head lock the whole time.

Our neighbors little girls won prizes for some of the things they put in the fair.  So exciting.  Olivia is already planning on what she wants to enter next year.

Tally Lake

I had a first for myself.  I took a road trip and was the only one driving.  My four oldest kids are all in Washington and just had Olivia here.  He had to work, so I decided to drive down to Montana and meet up with our neighbors and go camping.  Only got lost once.  Had one melt down, but I did it.

This is Logan Creek near Tally Lake.

Went on a walk one morning, and some of the kids were not enjoying it.

I told all the kids to climb into the bear proof food locker.  I wanted to see how many kids could fit in.
