Park time

I have an abundance of extra mothers for my two youngest children.  Anna, Ella, Leah and all of their friends take on that role.  I need a break and one of them will take over for me.  I had a house full of extra kids and "the mothers" and Zach took them all to the park for me.  I tell people all the time how great my kids and their friends are.  I'm not exaggerating either.
We are all going to miss them all so much.
These two sisters.  Dang I love them.  I love the kiss the blond one on the forehead and leave lipstick marks.
 My monkey Soren.

I think this is one of my all time fave pics of Anna. It's Anna 100%

What can I say about this guy.  I love ya man.  Seriously though, he's kind, funny, artistic and he helps around the house like he's one of mine.

I questioned why Anna did this.  She's normally like a new born giraffe.  Her legs go on and on.  She has the coordination like one too.  Make her dizzy and I don't even know how to describe her.

I hand the kids and a camera over to them and tell them not to loose any of the kids.  They did a great job!

Art

During spring break we were able to have a day outing with Logan.  He had the day off from work.  It's rare these days to have all of us together.  I guess that's what happens when kids move out!  We went to the Vancouver museum of Art.  I can't wait to go back by myself.  Soren and Olivia went way too fast and I wasn't able to really slow down and enjoy it.
We had a wonderful lunch at the Cactus Club Cafe.  We must look like such country bumpkins when we go to the city.  We all just gawk at all the buildings and all the people.

Or we stand out because of this.
Or because my family are all extremely tall and there is a huge Asian population there.  We literally look like a family of giants walking through the streets.

I have a little diva on my hands.

Look at Soren behind the girls.

On the way home we drove through China town.

Of course we all thought this was cool but in NO WAY WOULD WE EVER STOP THERE!  Very sketchy.
I came home exhausted.  My nerves were shot and I was ready to lock myself in my room.  When all the kids were younger and I had babies, outings were full of trials.  Crying kids, throw up, strollers, car seats, extra food, clothes.  It took forever to get out the door and then it took forever to reach our destination.
Now I grab my over packed purse and go.  I find that I still pack a first aid kit.  Hey, we're the Dunow's.( My purse was so heavy, Troy and Logan both took turn carrying it for me in the museum.)

Now really get to sit back and take in whats going on around me instead of being caretaker.  Some things will never change though.  Kids argue.  Troy wanted to listen to Taylor Swift and Logan said something unsavory.  We ended up listening to Nirvana.
Soren talks, everyone tells him to shut up.  Logan talks about cars non stop.  I tell him to shut up. I bet in 20 years we will be arguing about the same things.  I bet Troy will still be singing along to Taylor Swift.

Soren's Orchestra concert

First I will start with saying that my camera is on the ka-puts.  So mad.
Soren is playing cello this year and is doing pretty good with it.  He would do way better if he would practice!
He has a natural gift for playing and preforming.  I was really proud how well they all did.

That's my boy!  He music teacher is INCREDIBLY patient with all the kids.  Don't know how she does it.  Just watching them get ready and set up, I wanted to wring several kids necks.
Oh look!  It's one of Leah's famous stares.  Haha.  Glad she wasn't glaring at me!  It was fun to be able to hear one of my "extra" kids play.  So proud of her too!  Sorry about the pic quality.

Lucas is in the front with the cello.  One of Ella's best friends.  I tend to scare the crap out of him.  He's just not used to all the hugs we give around at our house.  Lucas is an amazing musician.  He kills it on the drums and also plays guitar.  I was amazed at his talent on the cello.

Great job to all the kids.

Spring pics

I pass this sweet little lady often on the road and think she is so cute!  I sat and talked to her while I took some pics. People always say how dumb sheep are, I think they have great personalities.  I have a soft spot for sheep. In high school, I did 4-H with as sheep.  By the time it was ready to get rid of it, I couldn't do it.  I wanted it for a pet.  I thought if Mom can have a couple of horses around then I could have a sheep.  A couple of weeks after the fair and I thought I was out of the woods, I came home to no sheep.  Mom had sold it for meat.  I was devastated.  One day I will have a place where I can have a field full of sheep.  Spring is all around us.  Dandelions are all over, trees are in full bloom and bulbs and blooming.  Everything is sooooo green.

It's nice to get the occasional break in the rain where we can walk down to the bus stop without full rain gear.  Troy and Olivia are such goof balls together.  Their sense of humor is in sinc with eath others.
I love watching them joke around.  As long as I'm not the joke!

Our frog has returned this year.  He's gotten so big.  When the sun is out, he out warming himself.  I can get pretty close before he jumps in the pond.  There is a smaller frog too this year.  We are going to have to do some repairs on the waterfall soon and are hoping we don't disturb Mr. Frog too much.  He's fun to watch.
